1. JTO to shut DFS operation in Jeju Myths and History Theme Park
Foreigner-only DFS long caused great financial loss

Jeju Tourism Organization will shutter its off-airport duty free shop in the Jeju Myths and History Theme Park.

JTO will relocate 20 full-time permanent contract employees to its duty-free shop for domestic travelers or its marketing department and send 80 dispatched sales workers back to their respective companies.

JTO will notify the Korea Customs Service of the details before 2021 when the patent for the duty-free business ends.

만성 적자인 시내면세점을 철수하고
면세영업 인력과 마케팅 비용을
지정면세점에 집중하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

시내면세점 직원 고용 문제와 관련해서는
정규직 20명을 지정면세점이나 마케팅 부서로 재배치하고,
파견직 80명은 해당 브랜드 업체로 돌려보낼 계획입니다.

공사는 면세사업 특허 완료 기간인 2021년 전까지
관세청에 관련 내용을 통보할 예정입니다.
