3. Police catch numerous violations during crackdown against ASF
Company caught attempting to distribute 7 tons of pork in disguise

The Jeju Municipal Police caught 17 violations from 16 companies during its recent crackdown on meat products to prevent the spread of the African Swine Fever Virus.

The police caught a company trying to distribute 7 tons of pork as packaged meat without a permit and falsely labeling Spanish pork as Jeju pork. Another company was caught for not labeling the origin of pork that was imported from Germany.

Officials also found retailers that sold sausages that past their expiration date and illegally sold undeclared imported foods such as soups, cereals and processed foods.

13 cases were filed for criminal charges and the remaining four cases have been put under administratie disposition.

16개 업체에서
17건의 위반사항을 적발했다고 밝혔습니다.

돼지고기 7톤 가량을
포장육으로 허가 없이 유통하려 하거나
스페인산 돼지고기를
제주산으로 속여 판매한 업자,
독일산 돼지고기의 원산지를 표시하지 않고 판매한 행위 등입니다.

또 유통기한이 지난 소시지를 진열하거나
스프나 시리얼, 가공식품 같은
신고되지 않은 수입식품을 불법 판매한 업체도 단속됐습니다.

자치경찰은 이 가운데 13건을 형사입건하고
4건은 행정처분 통보했습니다.
