2. 2nd Airport Special Committee asks for Seoul’s cooperation
Committee to hold discussion session with islanders next month

In related news, the special committee created to relieve conflict surrounding the second airport construction project in Jeju delivered a proposal on securing islanders’ right of self-determination to the National Assembly and the Blue House yesterday.

The committee requested Seoul to put all operations and decision making processes on hold until the committee completes its task. It also asked Seoul for its full support to relieve conflict surrounding the new airport project.

The committee will hold a discussion session next month to collect opinions from residents and finalize on how to conduct an public opinion poll regarding the second airport.

특위는 건의문을 통해
특위 활동이 완료될때까지
제2공항 건설 기본계획 고시와 관련 예산 편성 등을
보류하고,
갈등 해소를 위해 적극 협조해 줄것을 요청했습니다.

특위는 다음달 도민대토론회를 개최해
제2공항에 대한 도민 의견 수렴 계획을
확정할 예정입니다.
