4. Municipal police to establish digital forensics center
Center to be equipped with proper devices and experts

Jeju Municipal Police will establish a digital forensics center in the first half of next year. Digital forensics is used to recover and investigate material found in digital devices.

The police said that they will establish a digital forensics center equipped with devices and experts specializing in digital forensics investigation.

The municipal police have had to ask the Jeju Provincial Police Agency for digital forensic investigations because they didn’t have proper equipment and human resources to perform such investigations.

디지털 포렌식은
각종 디지털 기기에 저장돼 있는 정보를
분석할 수 있는 수사기법으로
그동안 자치경찰은 인력과 장비가 없어
제주지방경찰청에 의존해 왔습니다.
