2. Researchers to produce ‘Minihyang’ for the first time
Institute to supply seedlings to farmers

The locally developed mandarin orange variety ‘Minihyang’, has finally come to fruition.

The Jeju Agricultural Research and Extension services developed the new variety in 2017 by crossbreeding Kishu mandarins with Ponkan with domestic technology. The new variety will be produced for the first time next week.

Minihyang is a small-sized mandarin orange at around 40 grams with a very high sugar content of 16.3 brix.

The Institute held a evaluation session on Minihyang in Daeheul-ri, Jocheon-eup today and will supply seedlings to farmers who wish to produce the new mandarin orange variety.

미니향은

당도가 16.3 브릭스로 높아 단맛이 강한 품종입니다.

농업기술원은 9일 조천읍 대흘리에서
미니향 현장평가회를 개최했고
품종 갱신을 희망하는 농가에는 묘목을 공급할 계획입니다.
