5. S-92 helicopter deployed to Jeju Coast Guard
Country’s largest helicopter can carry up to 21 people and 12 patients

The largest helicopter in Korea, which can carry up to a total of 21 people including 12 patients, will be deployed to Jeju.

According to the Jeju Coast Guard, next year's budget plan for the national coast guard reflects expenses of 63 billion won to deploy the large helicopter to Jeju Island.

The helicopter is the same S-92 model used by the president.

The local coast guard says the helicopter will be ready for use at around 2023.

내년 해경 예산안에
제주권에 대형헬기 1대를
배치하는 630억 원 규모의
신규 사업비가 반영됐습니다.

해당 헬기는 대통령 전용헬기와 동일한
S-92 기종으로 환자 12명을 포함해
최대 21명까지 탑승이 가능합니다.

해경은
오는 2023년쯤 헬기가
실전 배치될 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.
