Second airport to have more than 30M visitors

The annual number of passengers using Jeju International Airport exceeded 30 million for the first time in history.

The Jeju office of the Korea Airport Corporation said it counted a total of 30,057,300 people as of this Monday.

It is the first airport among 14 airports in the country, excluding Incheon International Airport, to have more than 30 million annual visitors.

The number of visitors to Jeju International Airport has been showing a steady annual increase rate of 7.3 percent in average over the past five years, up 10 million from 20.94 million in 2014.

Currently, Jeju International Airport's maximum passenger handling capacity per year is at 31,700,000 people.

지난 16일자로
제주공항 이용객이 3천 5만 7300명을 기록했다고
밝혔습니다.

연간 이용객 3천만명을 넘은 공항은
인천국제공항을 제외하고
전국 14개 공항 중에서 처음입니다.

제주공항 이용객은
지난 2014년 2천 94만 명에서
5년여 만에 1천만 명이 증가하면서
연 평균 7.3%씩 늘고 있습니다.

현재 제주공항 연간 여객처리능력은
3천 170만 명 입니다.
