Offender caught for carrying 4.3kg of meth

A Malaysian man was caught for trying to smuggle 13 billion won worth of meth.

The Jeju District Prosecutors' Office arrested the offender on charges of smuggling meth.

According to the prosecution, the man arrived to Jeju International Airport from Malaysia on December 14th. The local customs office discovered 4.3 kilograms of meth wrapped in plastic bags and well-disguised under his jacket in the offender’s suitcase.

The amount is worth 13 billion won and can be inhaled by 120,000 people.

The local prosecutors have determined that the offender delivers meth to local dealers and are investigating for his accomplice.

검찰에 따르면
A 씨는 지난 14일 오후
말레이아에서 제주로 오는 항공편을 이용해
제주공항에 도착한 뒤
휴대품 입국검사 과정에서
세관에 의해 필로폰 소지 사실이 적발됐습니다.

A 씨가 몰래 들여오려던 필로폰은 4.3kg으로
시가로 130억 원 어치이며
12만여 명이 투약할 수 있는 양입니다.

비닐에 담긴
필로폰을 외투 안에 넣고
여행용 가방에 숨긴 것으로 알려졌습니다.

검찰은 A씨가 필로폰 밀매 조직 운반책인 것으로 파악하고
공범여부 등을 조사하고 있습니다.
