Provincial council criticizes province of lax budget planning

The province carried forward 200 billion won of this year’s budget to next year.

According to the provincial council, the province carried forward 211.6 billion won that was previously set for 299 projects to next year.

In particular, the aggregate budget for 122 projects that haven’t even begun exceeds 60 billion won.

The council's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts called for an improvement of budgeting, saying that the province is not properly planning nor executing its budget.

올해 편성은 해 놓고 내년으로 이월하는 예산이
2천억원을 넘고 있습니다.

제주도의회에 따르면
제주도가 올해 3회 추가경정예산안에 반영한
명시이월사업은 299건에 2천 216억원입니다.

특히 집행률이 0%인 사업은 122건에 액수로는
600억원을 넘고 있습니다.

도의회 예산결산특별위원회는
제주도가 올해도 예산을 허술하게 편성하고 집행노력도 부족했다며
개선을 요구했습니다.
