2. Local fire department strengthens safety measures for year-end season
Officials to dispatch ambulances at Christmas and sunrise attractions

Jeju Fire and Safety Headquarters is strengthening safety measures to prevent large-scale fires that may occur during the year-end season.

Accordingly, officials started operating a special emergency response system 24 hours from yesterday and will continue its operation through this Thursday. Officials will also carry out the system from December 30th to January 2nd.

Ambulances will be dispatched at places where Christmas events will be held and people visit to see the sunrise.

Meanwhile, over the past three years, 20 fires have caused one death and 200 million won in property damage during the year-end season.

30일부터 내달 2일까지 8일 동안 화재특별경계근무를 실시합니다.

또 성탄축하 행사장과 해넘이, 해맞이 명소 등에
구급차를 배치하는 등
24시간 대응체제를 유지합니다.

한편 최근 3년동안
성탄절과 연말연시 연휴기간에
20건의 화재가 발생해
1명이 숨지고 2억여 원의 재산피해가 났습니다.
