4. Concerns rise over Jeju Sports Council Chair election lacking transparency
Candidate registrations held Jan. 4-5

Concerns are rising that the election process of the Jeju Sports Council Chairman may lack transparency. It is the first time for the Chairman to be elected by civilians.

The election commission for the Jeju Sports Council decided to send pamphlets that contain candidates’ information and their campaign pledges instead of holding open debate forums to verify their qualifications. The candidate pledges will also be uploaded on the council’s official website.

On top of this, the council will later hold a press conferences on January 8th for all candidates.

Meanwhile, the candidate registration will be held for two days from January 4th.

내년 1월 8일 입후보자를 대상으로 기자간담회를 열기로 했습니다.

한편 후보자 등록은
내년 1월 4일과 5일 이틀동안 진행됩니다.
