2. Seongsan Sunrise Festival begins today
Only 1,300 climbers permitted on peak for first sunrise of 2020

The 27th Seongsan Sunrise Festival will be held in the area around Seongsan Sunrise Peak from today through January 1st.

Organized by the provincial government, there are a variety of programs and activities scheduled for festivalgoers, including fireworks, musical performances and a night market.

Due to safety concerns, organizers will limit the number of climbers to Seongsan Peak to 1,300. They will begin distributing first-come, first-served entrance tickets from 3:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.



30일부터 성산일출축제…일출맞이 1천300명 제한

제27회 성산일출축제가
30일부터 새해 첫 날까지 사흘동안 성산일출봉 일대에서 열립니다.

제주특별자치도가 주최하고
성산일출축제위원회가 주관하는 이번 행사는
새해맞이 카운트다운과 폭죽놀이,
일출나이트, 일출기원제 등 다양한 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

다만 새해 첫 날 일출봉 정상 일출맞이는
만일의 사고에 대비해
1천 300명으로 제한하고
당일 새벽 3시30분부터 등반권을 배부할 예정입니다.
