4. Jeju Fire Festival named an official 'Culture and Tourism Festival'
National funding, KTO promotions available over 2 years

The Jeju Fire Festival has been designated an official “Culture and Tourism Festival” by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The ministry announced its selection of 35 representative national festivals of which the Jeju Fire Festival was the only one from Jeju province.

Thus, the Jeju Fire Festival will be supported by the Korea Tourism Organization for the next two years using funds from the national budget. It will also promote the festival both domestically and overseas. Organizers can also use the official designation “Culture and Tourism Festival” in its promotional materials.

The Jeju Fire Festival will be held from March 12th to 15th at Saebyeol Oreum Volcanic Cone, Aewol-eup, Jeju City.

4. 제주들불축제, 정부 지정 '문화관광축제' 포함

제주들불축제가
문화체육관광부로부터 '문화관광축제'로 지정됐습니다.

문체부가 전국 대표 축제 35개를
문화관광축제로 지정해 발표한 가운데
제주에서는 들불축제가 유일하게 포함됐습니다.

이에따라 들불축제는
내년부터 2년 동안 국비와 함께
한국관광공사를 통한
국내.외 홍보를 지원받게 되고
문화관광축제 명칭을 사용할 수 있습니다.

제주들불축제는
내년 3월 12일부터 15일까지
제주시 애월읍 새별오름 일원에서 열릴 예정입니다.
