5. Int’l Penguin Swim to be held on New Year's Day
ROK Navy band, dance competition, participation prizes

The 20th Seogwipo Winter Sea International Penguin Swimming Competition will be held on January 1st at Jungmun Saekdal Beach.

This New Year's Day event will begin at 10 a.m. with a performance by the Republic of Korea Navy Band and a variety of events including a penguin dance competition and a number of traditional Korean wrestling matches.

In addition, a commemorative medal will be given to the participants of the swim for the 20th anniversary of the competition and a separate gift will be given to the first 20 adults born in 2001.

There are no restrictions on who can participate. You can apply on-site or through the office of the Seogwipo City Tourism Council.

5. 새해 첫 날 국제펭귄수영대회 열려

제20회 서귀포 겨울바다 국제펭귄수영대회가
새해 첫날인
1월 1일 중문색달해수욕장에서 펼쳐집니다.

올해로 20회를 맞은 펭귄수영대회는
오전 10시부터
해군악대의 축하공연을 시작으로
펭귄 댄스경연과 경주대회,
씨름왕 선발 등 다양한 이벤트 행사로 진행됩니다.

또 20회를 맞이해
입수자들에게 기념 메달이 증정되고
2001년생 성인 선착순 20명에게 별도의 선물이 증정됩니다.

참가 대상은 제한이 없으며
신청은 서귀포시 관광협의회 사무국이나 현장 접수도 가능합니다.
