1. JDC and Berjaya group negotiate on Yerae Resort Complex
Suspended construction project may normalize

Jeju Free International City Development Center and Berjaya group’s negotiations on the suspended Yerae Resort Complex construction project is drawing attention to whether it will be normalized.

According to JDC, the two parties have met every month since October to discuss about the project.

It has been reported that the two sides exchanged each other’s views on the matter in order to resolve the investment dispute regarding the Yerae complex project.

Meanwhile, the construction of the Yerae Resort Complex has been suspended since August 2015 due to the Supreme Court's decision to invalidate the land expropriation. The first ruling of the damage suit filed by Berjaya Jeju Resort will be handed down on January 9th.

버자야 그룹과 제주국제자유도시개발센터 JDC가
물밑 협상을 이어가고 있어 정상화 여부가 주목됩니다.

JDC에 따르면
양 측 경영진은 지난 10월부터 한 달에 한 번씩
모두 세 차례 협의를 가진 것으로 알려졌습니다.

양 측은
예래단지 사업과 관련한 투자분쟁 해결을 위해
현재를 기준으로 양 측의 입장과 현안에 대한
의견을 교환한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

한편 예래단지 조성사업은 대법원의 토지수용 무효 판결로
2015년 8월부터 공사가 중단됐으며
다음달 9일
버자야가 제기한 손해배상 소송 1심이 선고됩니다.
