2. Provincial government holds 2020 kick-off meeting at 5 Day Market
Province aims to boost morale, improve local economy

The provincial government held its New Year’s kick-off meeting today at the Traditional Five Day Market in Jeju City.

The kick-off meeting included a New Year’s speech, as well as performances and a shopping event at the market to stimulate the local economy.

The annual meeting is traditionally held at government facilities, but the province made the decision to change the venue this year in order to boost the local economy.

이날 시무식은
신년 메시지와 민생경제 회복 의지를 담은 퍼포먼스를 펼친 후에
전통시장 장보기 행사로 진행됩니다.

제주도는 그동안
도청 청사 내에서 시무식을 개최해 왔지만
민생경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위해
이같은 행사를 마련했다고 설명했습니다.
