2. Chamber of Commerce holds New Year Event
Governor points to economic growth in speech to executives

The new year greeting organized by the Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held yesterday at Maison Glad Jeju.

1,000 people, including heads of public organizations and corporate executives, participated in the meeting.

The president of Jeju CCI Kim Dae-hyung proposed creating a new public-private advisory body to the provincial government in order to improve the local economy and overcome the economic downturn.

Governor Won Hee-ryong said that the local government prioritizes boosting the economy. He added that a successful local government model will improve economic vitality and nurture future growth engines.

2020년 경자년 제주도민 신년인사회가
2일 오전 메종글래드 호텔에서 열렸습니다.

제주상공회의소가 마련한 인사회에는
도내 각급 기관단체장과 기업체 임원 등 1천여 명이 참석해
새로운 도약과 전진을 다짐했습니다.

이 자리에서 제주상의 김대형 회장은 신년사를 통해
제주경제 저성장과 경제난 극복을 위해
가칭 제주경제 회복을 위한 민관 협의체 구성을
제주도에 제안했습니다.

이어 원희룡 지사는
도정의 제1목표는 민생경제 활력화라고 강조하고
민생경제를 살리고 미래 성장 동력을 육성해 성공적인 지방정부의 모델이 되겠다고 말했습니다.
