3. Speed limit on major and residential roads to be lowered
New regulations will come into effect in April

The speed limit for major roads in Jeju City, including Yeonbuk-ro and Yeonsam-ro, will be lowered to 50 kilometers per hour starting April.

Under the revised Road Traffic Act, the regulations will be tightened and the speed limit for roads in downtown areas such as Yeonsam-ro, Beonyeong-ro, Donggwang-ro and Seogwang-ro will be decreased to 50 kilometers per hour.

The new regulations include limiting speed to less than 30 kilometers on alley ways in residential areas.

Jeju City will modify road signs and facilities in accordance with the revised regulations prior to the implementation of the new regulations.

3. '연북로·연삼로' 4월부터 시속 50km로 제한

연북로와 연삼로 등
시내 주요도로의 제한속도가 오는 4월부터
시속 50km로 제한됩니다.

개정된 도로교통법에 따르면
연삼로와 번영로, 동서광로 등
도심부 도로의 제한속도가
시속 60km 이상에서 50km로 이내로 강화됩니다.

주택가 이면도로는
30km 이내로 속도를 제한하는 규정도 신설됐습니다.

행정시는 올해 4월 시행에 앞서
개정된 규정에 맞게
도로시설물을 정비할 계획입니다.
