2. Crackdown on product origin labeling
Auditing period will continue through Jan 23

In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year holidays, the Jeju branch of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service is inspecting food origin labels through January 23rd.

The Service will conduct the crackdown on false product origins, grain labeling and livestock product certification numbers.

Inspectors are auditing manufacturers and food distributors of products used in ancestral rites, as well as traditional markets.

Ninety-eight violators were identified in 2019 with 50 being charged of criminal offenses.

국립농산물품질관리원 제주지원은
6일부터 23일까지
제수 또는 선물용 농식품의 원산지와
양곡 표시, 축산물 이력표시 여부를 집중 단속합니다.

점검 대상은
제수.선물용 농식품 제조업체와 유통업체,
전통시장 등입니다.

앞서 지난해에는 위반 업소 98곳이 적발돼
50군데가 형사입건됐습니다.
