2. Trauma center for 4.3 victims officially launched
Advisory committee includes surviving victims, experts

The Jeju 4.3 Peace Foundation has announced that a trauma center for victims of the incident will be established.

The foundation has appointed seven advisors who are either a surviving victim, bereaved family member or an expert, and have begun the reviewing process for the basic operation plan.

The advisors will be responsible for gathering public opinion, revising related regulations, and securing the venue for the center.

The 4.3 Trauma Center is a government-backed specialized mental and physical recovery project that will be carried out this year for victims of the Jeju 4.3 and Gwangju 5.18 incidents.

제주4.3으로 트라우마를 겪고 있는 피해자를 위한
트라우마센터 운영이 본격 추진됩니다.

제주4.3평화재단은 이를 위해
4.3생존 희생자와 유족, 전문가 등 7명을
트라우마센터 자문위원으로 위촉하고
운영 기본계획 검토에 착수했습니다.

자문위원들은 앞으로
트라우마센터 설립에 따른 여론 수렴과
관련 규정 개정, 센터 건물 확보 등을 논의하게 됩니다.

4.3트라우마센터는
정부가 지원하는 정신적, 신체적 전문 치유사업으로
올해 제주4.3과 광주 5.18을 대상으로
시범 사업이 추진됩니다.
