1. Jeju Development Corporation labor union ends strike
Final collective agreement signed on Jan 13 after 17 days of strike

The strike held by the Jeju Development Corporation's labor union has ended after 17 days.

The labor union signed a final collective agreement at the Semiyang Building of the Jeju Advanced Science and Technology Complex on the afternoon of the 13th.

The labor union tentatively agreed on the 10th to amend 16 of the 166 articles of the existing agreement and to remove a total of 3 articles.

The union is scheduled to return to work as early as July 14. The operations of the Samdasu water and tangerine processing plants, which suffered disruptions during the strike, are expected to resume.

The labor union has been in negotiations since July of last year, but failed to reach an agreement on the issue of improving work environment, marking the first strike in history last month on the 27.

제주도개발공사 노동조합의 파업 사태가
17일 만에 종료됐습니다.

제주도개발공사 노사는 13일 오후
제주첨단과학기술단지 내 세미양빌딩에서
최종 단체협약을 체결했습니다.

앞서 노사는 지난 10일
기존 단체협약 166개 조항 가운데
16개 조항을 수정하고 3개 조항을 삭제하기로 잠정 합의했습니다.

노조는 이르면 14일
업무에 복귀할 예정으로
파업 기간 차질을 빚었던
삼다수와 감귤가공공장 운영도 재개될 전망입니다.

한편 제주도개발공사 노사는
지난해 7월부터 단체교섭을 진행해왔으나
처우 개선 문제를 놓고 합의에 이르지 못하면서
지난달 27일 사상 첫 파업 사태를 맞았습니다.
