2. 19 preliminary candidates register for April 15 general election
Average competition rate 6.3 to 1

Registration for the upcoming April 15 general election has been open since December 17, and 19 nominees have registered as preliminary candidates.

The Jeju office of the National Election Commission says that the average competition rate stands at 6.3 to one in the three electoral districts.

Of the 19 nominees, nine have registered for Jeju City’s (갑) Gap district, five for the (을) Eul district and another five for Seogwipo City district.

Another 9 candidates have registered for the by-election which will take place on the same day to elect three provincial councilors.

제주지역 3개 선거구에 19명이 등록을 마쳐
평균 경쟁률은 6.3대 1을 보이고 있습니다.

제주시 갑에 9명이 몰려 가장 많았고
제주시 을과 서귀포시에는
각각 5명이 예비후보로 등록했습니다.

한편 제주도의원 보궐선거는
3개 선거구에 9명이 등록해
3대 1의 경쟁률을 보이고 있습니다.
