2. Shinsegae Duty Free Shop put on hold after traffic impact assessment
Committee requests additional documents

Shinsegae Group's proposed duty-free business has been put on hold again because of the traffic impact assessment.

The Traffic Impact Assessment Committee of Jeju Island has made a decision for re-evaluation after reviewing the plan submitted by Shinsegae on the 17th.

The committee made requests for additional documents, including a clarification of the operation plan for the external parking lot, and called for a legal examination of the shuttle bus operations. The necessity of expanding the traffic mitigation roads was also stressed.

Shinsegae has also been asked to provide details of the construction cost plan for the expansion of the Ayeon-road in conjunction with the use of an external parking lot.

제주도 교통영향평가심의위원회는
17일 오후
신세계 측이 제출한 교통영향평가안에 대해 심의한 결과
재심의 결정을 내렸습니다.

심의위원회는
외부 주차장에 대한 운영계획을 명확히하고
셔틀버스 운영에 대한 법리적 검토,
완화차로 확장 등이 필요하다며
보완을 요구했습니다.

특히 사업자 측이
외부 주차장 이용과 연계해 제시한 아연로 확장에 대해서는
행정과 협의해
공사비 부담 계획을 명문화하도록 주문했습니다.
