5. Jeju City cracks down on environmental pollution
Businesses will be audited through Lunar New Year holiday

To prevent environmental pollution during the Lunar New Year holidays, Jeju City will conduct a special inspection of facilities that emit environmental pollution, as well as vulnerable areas on the island.

A 3-step inspection of business sites that emit environmental pollutants will be conducted during the holiday period and a situation room linked to district night-duty offices will be operated.

The government plans to take immediate action when activities that cause environmental pollution is detected during the holidays.

Last year, Jeju City inspected 1,400 businesses and found 113 businesses to be in violation of the laws regarding environmental pollutants.

특히 연휴기간에도 환경오염행위가 발견되는 즉시
조치할 방침입니다.

지난해 제주시는
1천400여개 사업장을 점검해 환경오염물질 위반사업장 113곳을 적발했습니다.
