1. Province raises alert to highest level for coronavirus
Jeju will expand workforce and supplies to prevent spread of infection
The provincial government has issued the highest level emergency system to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Governor Won Hee-ryong held an emergency meeting at the provincial disaster control center on the 27th and stated that the government has raised the risk alert for infectious diseases. He added that because Jeju has large numbers of travelers passing through regularly, the province will handle the situation at the highest risk alert possible.
At the weekly policy meeting held on the 28th, officials discussed ways to respond to the coronavirus and released instructions to provide sufficient manpower to strengthen the ports of entry quarantine system.
To ensure sufficient personal hygiene supplies are available to residents, the governor added that he would use reserve funds if necessary.
The province will also secure quarantine beds and stockpiles in advance and hold joint briefing sessions with relevant departments to prevent false rumors.
The governor made a visit to the Jeju Airport and the Yeonan Coastal Passenger Terminal to check the current quarantine conditions and ordered a more thorough quarantine system.
He stressed that compliance with protective measures is essential to preventing the spread of infection, and that if symptoms occur, individuals must contact the nearest 1399 health center.

충분한 인력을 지원하도록 지시했습니다.
특히 도민들에게 세정제나 비누, 마스크 같은
개인 위생용품이 충분히 공급될 수 있도록
필요하다면
제주도 지방비와 예비비를 투입하겠다고 덧붙였습니다.
원 지사는 이어 감시 대상이 늘어날 것으로 예상됨에 따라
격리 병상과 비축물자 등을 사전에 확보하고
유언비어를 방지하기 위해
관계부서 합동브리핑도 실시하기로 했습니다.

방역 상태를 점검하고 철저한 검역을 주문했습니다.
이와 함께 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증 예방을 위해서는
손 씻기와 마스크 착용 등
예방 수칙 준수가 필수라며
발열호흡기 증상이 발생할 경우 1399나
가까운 보건소로 연락해야 한다고 강조했습니다.
