2. Medical fees for coronavirus patients will be waived
All-inclusive subsidy program encompasses non-payable items

The costs for testing and treating coronavirus, as well as expenses related to quarantining will be waived.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare has announced that they will subsidize all medical service costs associated with coronavirus, including non-payable services, making sure that coronavirus patients will incur no charges.

Patients and suspected patients will be eligible to receive the support. However, only the medical fees related to coronavirus will qualify.

The applicable period for subsidies is from the moment of isolation to the patients’ release.

'신종 코로나' 검사·진료비 전액 면제

신종 코로나바이러스 감염증의 검사와 격리,
치료 등에 드는 비용이 면제됩니다.

보건복지부는 신종코로나 관련 진료의 경우
환자 본인부담금과 비급여 진료비도
국가에서 지원해 환자가 부담하는 비용은 없다고 밝혔습니다.

다만 지원 대상은 확진 환자와 의심환자 등으로
신종 코로나바이러스 감염증과 관련 없는 진료비는 지원하지 않습니다.

지원기간은 격리 입원한 시점부터 격리 해제 때까지입니다.
