3. Special committee for 2nd airport holds official meeting with governor
Province agrees to fully cooperate with committee

The Jeju Provincial Assembly's special committee for the conflict resolution of the second airport and the provincial government have held their first official meeting since the launch of the committee.

The special committee had a meeting with Governor Won Hee-ryong on January 31st and thereafter announced that an amicable agreement was made with the governor to work together in order to appease the concerns of island residents.

The province has agreed to fully cooperate with the special committee and honor the results of the committee’s activities.

The province has also stated a willingness to participate in a joint discussion meeting with the special committee and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and collaborate on the infrastructure expansion plan for Jeju airport.

3. 제주도-제2공항 특위, "갈등해소 힘 모으겠다"

제주도의회 제2공항 갈등해소 특별위원회가 제주도와
특위 출범 이후 처음 면담자리를 가졌습니다.

도의회 갈등해소 특위는
31일 원희룡 지사와 만나
앞으로 제2공항 문제에 따른 도민갈등 해결을 위해
도와 의회가 힘을 합치기로 합의했다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 제주도는
앞으로 제2공항 특위가 필요한 절차를 진행할 때 적극 협조하고
특위 활동에서 최종 도출된 결과를 존중하기로 했습니다.

또 도와 의회, 국토부가 참여하는 합동토론회를 실시하고
제주공항 인프라 확충 계획도 함께 점검해 나가기로 했습니다.
