4. Cornering masks and hand sanitizers banned
Violators will be punished by law

Cornering the market of masks and hand sanitizers will be punishable by law.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced that cornering masks and hand sanitizers will be prohibited through April 30th. The decision was made to prevent prices from fluctuating.

Violators will be punished with two years of imprisonment or a 50 million won fine. Both vendors and manufacturers will be subject to the punishment if found in violation of the mandate.

Violators can be reported to designated report centers.

5일부터 마스크·소독제 매점매석 최고 2년형

마스크와 손 소독제를 매점매석할 경우 처벌받게 됩니다.

기획재정부는
보건용 마스크와 손소독제 매점매석 행위 금지 등에 관한 고시를
5일부터
4월 30일까지 시행한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 매점매석을 하다 적발되면
생산자와 판매자 모두
최고 2년의 징역이나 5천만원의 벌금을 받게 됩니다.

또 매점매석 행위에 대해 시도 신고센터에 신고할 수 있도록 했습니다.
