5. Province to subsidize 870 electric motorcycles
Up to \3.3mil in financial aid will be issued per vehicle

The province has decided to provide support to 870 units of level 24 electric motorcycles this year and have started distributing the subsidies on the 5th.

Eligibility includes residents of Jeju aged 17 and older, and companies that were established or registered in the province. Support will be limited to one vehicle per person and up to 20 vehicles for businesses.

Depending on the model of the electric motorcycle, the subsidy offered will range from 2.1 to 3.3 million won. An additional 200,000 won will be paid to those who dispose of their existing two-wheeled internal combustion engine.

However, if the subsidy is received, it will be mandatory to use the electric vehicle for two years in Jeju, and the subsidy will be repossessed if the rule is violated.

제주도가 올해 전기이륜차 24종에 870대를
민간에 보급하기로 하고

보급 대상은
만 16살 이상 도민을 비롯해
도내 설립된 기업이나 등록된 법인 등이며

개인 1명당 1대,
기업이나 법인은 최대 20대까지만 보급됩니다.

전기이륜차 차종에 따라
210만 원에서 최대 330만 원까지 지원되며
기존에 타던
내연기관 이륜차를 폐차할 경우 20만 원이 추가 지급됩니다.

다만 보조금을 지원받은 경우
2년 동안 제주지역에서 의무적으로 운행해야 하며
지키지 않을 경우 보조금은 환수 조치됩니다.
