4. JIU cancels opening and graduation ceremonies
Semester start date deferred by 2 weeks

Jeju International University has canceled its entrance and graduation ceremonies due to the spread of the coronavirus.

The university recently held an emergency meeting and decided to cancel both ceremonies which were originally scheduled to be held on the 27th and 20th, respectively.

JIU will also defer the new semester by two weeks with classes starting on March 16th.

The honorary graduation ceremony of seven students from Danwon High School who were victims of the Sewol ferry disaster will be held in a separate ceremony next month.

신종 코로나바이러스 감염증에 대한 우려가 확산되면서
제주국제대학교도 졸업식과 입학식을 전격 취소했습니다.

제주국제대학교는 최근 긴급회의를 열고
오는 20일과 27일 열릴 예정이던 졸업식과 입학식을 각각
취소한다고 밝혔습니다.

올해 명예 졸업예정인 세월호 참사 단원고 학생 7명에 대해서는
다음달 총장실에서 학부모들을 초청해 명예졸업증서를 수여하는 등 별도로 진행하기로 했습니다.

제주국제대는 개강일도 다음달 2일에서 16일로 2주 연기하기로 했습니다
