5. Jeju Public Sewage Treatment Plant Modernization Project in full swing

The project to modernize Jeju Island’s public sewage treatment plant is in full swing.

The provincial government recently held a launching report meeting to draw up the basic plan and bidding guide for the sewage treatment plant project.

It was explained that the plan will focus on stable operations of the sewage system during construction, odor prevention, and the improvement of the marine discharge pipeline to minimize environmental damage.

The province plans to complete the basic plan and bidding guideline by September and start construction in July 2022.
