1. Bereaved family members of 4.3 Incident requests a retrial
340 missing persons still not officially recognized

The bereaved families of those who went missing during the Jeju 4.3 incident have requested the court to review the case.

The association of bereaved families of the missing made a visit to the Jeju District Court on the morning of the 18th and applied for a request of reconsideration for the 340 missing persons.

In a press conference prior to the appeal, the association made an emotional plea to the province, stating that they have lived with anguish for 72 years from losing family members, and added that a retrial was requested to restore their family members’ honor before it is too late.
