2019 survey showed Jeju’s rates were 5x more expensive

The Jeju government will conduct a survey on the burden of special delivery fees to the islands as a follow-up to the same survey held last year.

Ten island regions, including Jeju, will be surveyed on e-commerce and TV home shopping delivery fees starting next month until November. The survey will include a comparison of shipping fees between different delivery service companies.

The province will also analyze whether the special shipping charges have improved since the first survey that was conducted in cooperation with the Korea Consumer Resources that was taken last year.

Last year's survey revealed that shipping fees to Jeju Island were five times more expensive than other regions, and 21 percent of consumers did not know about special delivery fees prior to their purchase.

한편 지난해 조사결과 제주도는
다른지방에 비해 배송비가 5배 비싸고
사전에 특수배송비에 대해 모르는 경우가 21%에 이르렀습니다.
