2. MOJ offers automatic extension of visas
2,400 expats permitted to stay until April 30

The Ministry of Justice has given expats registered in Jeju an automatic extension on their visas in an effort to minimize visits to public institutions in light of the COVID-19 crisis.

As a result, some 2,400 registered expats or overseas ethnic Koreans living in Jeju will be permitted to stay until April 30th.

However, illegal aliens, non-professional workers, and foreigners who are employed on local fishing vessels are excluded from the list.

등록 외국인들의 체류기간을 자동 연장합니다.

이에따라
적법한 절차를 거쳐 제주지역에 체류하고 있는
등록 외국인이나
외국국적 동포 가운데 거소 신고한 2천 400여 명의 체류기간이
4월 30일까지 일괄 연장됩니다.

다만 불법체류 외국인이나 비전문 취업자,
선원 취업 체류자격 외국인은 일괄 연장 대상에서 제외됩니다.
