Final number of candidates expected to surpass 30

The number of potential candidates running for the April 15 National Assembly elections has climbed to 29 nominees in Jeju alone, breaking the all-time record.

According to the Jeju National Election Commission, 29 candidates have registered in three constituencies so far, surpassing the record of 25 nominees during the 2016 elections.

The Jeju City Gap district has the largest number of electoral candidates with 12 nominees on ballot, followed by the Jeju City Eul district with 11 and Seogwipo City with 6.

Preliminary candidate registrations are expected to continue until the end of next month, and considering the number of candidates who have not yet registered, the final number is expected to exceed 30.

서귀포시 5명 순입니다.

예비후보 등록은
다음달 말까지 이어지는 가운데
아직 등록하지 않은 주자까지 감안하면
최대 30명을 넘을 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.
