4. Prosecutors' Office to organize COVID19 response team
Crime task force will tackle public impediment to govt. efforts

The Jeju district prosecutors’ office will take stern measures against acts that neutralize government efforts to prevent the COVID-19 virus or spread anxiety by spreading fake news related to the outbreak.

The office will form a COVID-19 response team headed by the second-in-command of the criminal investigation department that will also include a crime task force and a building management team.

The newly formed unit will respond to epidemiological investigations, acts of refusal of quarantine measures, and investigate false reports and fake news.

For internal protective measures, the prosecutors’ office will conduct thermal scans on those who enter and leave the office building, as well as give out protective gear and heighten measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

검찰이 코로나19 사태와 관련해
역학조사를 거부하거나 가짜뉴스를 유포하는 등
정부 조치를 무력화하거나 불안감을 확산시키는 행위에 대해
엄정 대처하기로 했습니다.

제주지검은 이를 위해
형사 2부장을 팀장으로 한 코로나19 대응팀을 구성하고
대응팀 산하에 ''관련범죄대책반'과 '청사관리반' 등을
운영하기로 했습니다.

특히 역학조사나 격리조치 거부행위,
허위 신고와 가짜뉴스 유포행위 등에 대해 엄정하게 대응할 방침입니다.

또 제주지검 자체적으로
코로나19 확산 방지를 위한 청사 내 방역과 물품지원,
출입자에 대한 발열체크를 실시하게 됩니다.
