1. 36 devotees of Shincheonji in Jeju tested negative for COVID-19
Will continue to monitor health conditions over next 2 weeks

While a large number of COVID-19 patients have been found in the Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Daegu City, it was confirmed that there are no infected members on Jeju Island.

The provincial government secured the list of 646 members of Shincheonji residing in Jeju from the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters. Local officials interviewed them through phone calls and found 36 of them showed symptoms of fever or cough.

Officials collected specimens of the 36 devotees and confirmed all of them negative for the coronavirus.

The local government will continue to monitor their health conditions over the next two weeks.

전화 문진한 결과
기침이나 발열 같은 이상 증상을 보인 사람은
36명으로 파악됐습니다.

이들을 대상으로 검체를 채취해
코로나 감염 여부를 검사한 결과
모두 음성으로 판정됐습니다.

제주도는
음성 판정을 보인 교인을 대상으로
앞으로 2주 동안 건강 상태를 확인하는
능동 감시에 들어갈 계획입니다.
