6. Chinese man suspected of illicit purchase of health masks
Attempted to export masks to China

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has caught a Chinese man on suspicion of purchasing large volumes of health masks with the intention of selling them in China.

He bought 6,000 health masks last month for 11 million won in cash and tried to export them to China. Due to an export ban he kept them for an extended period of time and was selling them through various Korean Internet sites.

In an effort to prevent market manipulation, mask vendors with businesses that are registered for less than two months must sell their products within 10 days from the date of purchase. He had broken this requirement.
The police seized 2,400 masks from him.

영업을 등록한지 2개월 미만의 업자는
매입한 날로부터
10일 이내에 판매해야 하지만 이를 어긴 것입니다.

경찰은
B씨로부터 보관하고 있던 마스크 2천 400 여장을 압수했습니다.
