Industries designated as ‘special employment support industries’

In the aftermath of COVID19, struggling businesses in the travel and tourism industry are eligible for financial support.

They are being designated as special employment support industries.

According to the Jeju provincial government, four industries - travel, lodging, transportation, and performance - are being designated as special employment support industries.
These industries will receive expanded support over the next six months for vocational training, support for start-ups, and loans to stabilize their well-being.

The employment support system that pays part of the vacation and leave allowance to employers who give paid or leave of absence to their employees will be expanded from the current 75%.

4. 피해 큰 여행·관광업 ‘특별고용지원 업종’ 지정

코로나19 여파로 어려움을 겪고 있는
제주도내 여행업, 관광업체가
특별고용지원업종으로 지정돼 지원을 받을 수 있게 됐습니다.

제주도에 따르면
여행업과 관광숙박업, 관광운송업,
공연업 등 4개 업종이
특별고용지원업종으로 지정됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 이들 업종에 대해서는
앞으로 6개월 동안
직업훈련과 창업지원,
생활안정자금 융자 등에 대해 보다 확대된 지원을 받게 됩니다.

특히 유급휴업이나 휴직 조치한 사업주에게
휴업.휴직수당의 일부를 지급하는
고용유지지원금 지원은 현재 75%보다 더 확대됩니다.
