6. Generous hands reaching out to Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Residents and companies sending a variety of support
Jeju Island residents are reaching out to help Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
Both of these areas are suffering from the spread of COVID-19.
The Jeju provincial government is delivering over 900 boxes of tangerines such as Hallabong and Chun Hyehyang (천혜향) to screening hospitals in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Busan. The province is also providing 50 million won in disaster relief funds through the Korean National Red Cross.
Jeju Provincial Development Corporation and social enterprises in the province are also delivering 500 sets of "hope' packages. They include rice and daily necessities. The packages are going to elderly and chronically ill people in Daegu.
Companies in the province are preparing hand sanitizer and food supplies to take part in the donation parade.
6. 대구·경북 지역에 온정의 손길 잇따라
코로나19 확산으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 대구 경북 지역에 제주도민들의 온정의 손길이 이어지고 있습니다.
제주도는 한라봉과 천혜향 등 만감류 910상자를 경북과 부산 선별전료소에 전달하고 재해구호기금 5천만 원을 대한적십자사를 통해 지원할 예정입니다.
또 제주개발공사와 도내 사회적 경제기업이 쌀과 생필품 등을 담은 희망꾸러미 500세트를 후원금과 함께 대구지역 어르신과 만성질환자에 전달합니다.
