2. Public schools including kindergartens postponed 2 additional weeks
New start date set for April 6
Due to COVID-19, the reopening of schools is being postponed for an additional two weeks. The postponement includes all national kindergartens, as well as elementary, middle, and high schools.
Education Minister Yoo Eun-hye announced the nationwide postponement at a briefing on the 17th in Seoul.
The ministry of education is shortening the number of units to be completed due to the reduced number of school days.
Schools were scheduled to start on March 2nd. However, the start was initially delayed by a week on February 23rd, and more recently it was postponed two additional weeks on March 12th. Schools are now scheduled to reopen on April 6th.

대신 줄어드는 수업일수에 비례해
이수 단위를
감축할 수 있도록 허용했습니다.
애초 각 학교 개학일은 3월 2일이었지만
지난달 23일 1주일 미뤘다가
지난 12일 2주일 더 늦춘 바 있습니다.
