4. JNUH and Halla Hospital designated as 'Severe Emergency Medical Centers'
Designation is designed to confirm infection and severity of illnesses

Jeju National University Hospital and Jeju Halla General Hospital are being designated as severe emergency medical centers for emergency patients with severe COVID19 symptoms.

The province said that 2 hospitals were selected as candidates for Severe Emergency Medical Center designation according to the plan of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The Severe Emergency Medical Center is designed to determine if a patient is infected and determine the severity of the illness through pre-classification. It also allows patients to receive treatment in a separate quarantine area if there are any suspected symptoms.

The decision to designate emergency medical centers is being finalized based on specific criteria and will be officially confirmed this week.

중증응급진료센터 지정 계획에 따라
제주대병원과 한라병원을
후보지로 선정했다고 밝혔습니다.

중증응급진료센터는
사전 분류를 통해
환자의 중증도나 감염 여부를 판단하고
의심증상이 있는 경우
별도의 격리진료구역에서
진료받을 수 있도록 조성됩니다.

중증응급진료센터 지정 여부는
지정 기준을 토대로 최종 확인을 거쳐
이번주 안에 공식 확정될 예정입니다
