Four Jeju visitors who recently stayed in foreign countries refused to be self-quarantined. Because of their decision, they were forced to leave the island.

The provincial government said that a family of three and an individual who visited the Philippines and Canada, repectively were not allowed to enter the island after arriving on Jeju by flights. It added that the local government made the decision because they rejected the mandated 14-days of self-quarantine. The self-quarantine is part of the government’s measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

They tried to stay in Jeju before moving on to Seoul in order to avoid COVID-19.
