2. Plans for province’s relief funds established
Applicants should have earnings below median income

The province’s independent plans for emergency fund payment have been established.

Jeju province announced that it is paying relief funds to those who experience financial difficulties due to COVID-19. The province is dispersing funds for April and June, while in May, relief funding will be paid from the national level.

The province’s relief checks will go to 170,000 households which earn less than the standard household median income.

Salaried workers employed by the government, public schools, public companies, financial institutions, and recipients of national basic livelihood payment are not eligible for the emergency fund.

For example, the province plans to provide one million won cash in total for each household with four members.

Applications will be accepted at community centers and online from April 20th at the earliest.

제주도의 재난긴급생활지원금 지급 계획이 확정됐습니다.

제주도는 이달과 오는 6월
제주형 재난긴급생활지원금을 두 차례 지급하고,
다음달에는
정부의 긴급재난지원금을 한 차례 지급한다고 밝혔습니다.

지원 대상은 코로나19로 생계가 어려워진
도내 중위소득 100% 이하 약 17만 가구이며

공무원이나 교직원, 공기업, 금융기관 등
일정한 소득이 유지되는 가구와
기초생활보장 수급 가구는 제외됩니다.

지원 규모는 4인 가구 기준 두차례를 합해 총 100만 원으로
상품권 등이 아닌 현금으로 지급되며

이르면 오는 20일부터 읍면동 주민센터와 온라인창구를 통해 신청을 받을 계획입니다.
