1. Emergency relief payment applications being accepted
First payment to be sent at the end of April

Applications for emergency relief payments are being accepted from April 20th.

Three rounds of emergency relief payments are planned. The first payment is being sent at the end of this month from the Jeju provincial budget. The second round will be offered next month from the combined support of the national and Jeju provincial governments. The last round is scheduled for sometime after June when the provincial budget is revised.

The application period is from April 20th through May 22nd. The application is available through online and coomunity centers.

Jeju’s first relief checks are going to 170,000 households earning less than the standard household median income. For example, the province will pay 500,000 won cash to each household with four members.

The 5-day rotation system used for face masks is being introduced for the relief payment application. This system divides applicants into five groups based on the last digit of their birth year in order to reduce the burden on the application website. The relief funds will be paid within seven days of the request.


제주도 재난긴급생활지원금 20일부터 접수

제주도의 재난긴급생활지원금에 따른 접수가 20일부터 시작했습니다.

제주특별자치도는 재난긴급생활지원금으로 이달 말에 1차 지급하고 다음달에는
정부지원과 결합한 지방비 투입, 6월 이후에는 추경을 통한 3차 지급을 계획하고 있습니다.

우선 1차 지급분에 대해 20일 사업계획 공고와 동시에 온라인을 통해 접수를 시작했으며
27일부터는 주민센터에서 신청을 받게 됩니다.

지급 대상은 코로나19로 생계가 어려워진 도내 중위소득 100% 이하로 대략 17만 가구이며
지원금은 4인 가준을 기준으로 50만원입니다.

제주도는 신청이 일시에 몰리는 것을 방지하기 위해 공적 마스크 구입 처럼 5부제를 적용하고
신청 후 7일 이내에 지급한다는 계획입니다.
