3. Jeju’s 6th COVID-19 patient released
7 patients remain in quarantine

The island’s 6th coronavirus patient was released from the hospital on April 17th.

The patient is an American male in his thirties who tested positive for the virus on March 22nd.

Two consecutive tests for the virus recently turned out negative and he was allowed to be released.

The provincial government said that the government will check his health condition for more than a week following his release. If he has any suspicious symptoms, the government will quarantine him and conduct a coronavirus test.

The island’s 5th patient, a Korean female who visited Spain with him is receiving isolated treatment and currently is in stable condition.

Among the 13 patients in Jeju, six have been released and the remaining seven are in quarantine.


제주 6번 코로나 환자 30대 미국인 '퇴원'

제주지역 6번째 코로나19 확진 환자인 30대 미국 국적 남성이 퇴원했습니다.

제주도는 지난달 22일 확진 판정받은 미국인 남성에 대한 코로나19 검사 결과 2회 연속 음성이 나타나 격리해제 기준을 충족함에 따라 17일 퇴원시켰다고 밝혔습니다.

다만 퇴원한 이후에도 1주일 이상 능동감시할 예정이며 이상 증상이 발생할 경우 관할 보건소를 통해 조치할 방침입니다.

이 남성과 함께 스페인을 방문했다가 확진 판정을 받은 5번 확진자 20대 한국 여성은
현재 격리치료를 받고 있으며 건강은 양호한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

한편 도내 확진자 13명 가운데 6명이 퇴원했고 나머지 7명은 격리 치료 중입니다.
