7. Jeju City cancels events for family month
Decision made to guarantee safety of children and seniors

Jeju City Municipal Office is canceling events for family month to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The office cancelled events for Children’s Day on May 5th, Parent’s Day events on May 8th, and events for Coming-of-Age Day on May 18th.

Jeju City says the decision was unavoidable to guarantee the safety of children and seniors who are vulnerable to the virus.

제주시가 코로나19 확산을 막기 위해
다음달 예정된
가정의 달 행사를 전면 취소하기로 했습니다.

취소되는 행사는
5월 5일 어린이날 행사와 5월 8일 어버이날 기념행사,
그리고 5월 18일 제48회 성년의 날 행사입니다.

제주시는 면역력이 약한 어린이와
청소년,
어르신들의 안전을 위해 불가피한 결정이라고 설명했습니다.

어린이날 행사는 취소되지만 유공자 표창은 별도 수여될 계획입니다.
