8. Farmers' monthly salary system to go into effect in June
Surveys on demand to be carried out until the 30th

The province is pushing forward with the monthly salary system for farmers to reduce the debt of farmers in Jeju.

Jeju Island will conduct a survey on the demand for participating farmers by the 30th of this month ahead of the implementation of the monthly salary system for farmers in June.

The monthly salary system for farmers is a system that pays part of the agricultural income concentrated in the agricultural harvest season to farmers within 80 percent of the shipment agreement and compensates for the difference in interest.

Farmers are eligible for upto 3 million won and are required to repay the salary after the harvest.

The target crops have been expanded from mandarins and broccoli to all crops this year.

The government plans to allow farmers to decide the total salary period within a year.

오는 30일까지 지역 농협을 대상으로
참여 농가 수요를 조사합니다.

농업인 월급제는
농산물 수확기에 편중된 농업소득 일부를
출하약정계약의 80% 범위 내에서
농가에 우선 지급하고
이자 차액을 보전해주는 제도입니다.

대상 작목은 감귤과 브로콜리에서
올해에는 모든 작목으로 확대됐습니다.

또 월급 지급기간도 1년 범위 내에서
농가 자율적으로 결정할 수 있도록 할 방침입니다.
