180,000 tourists expected for holiday

180,000 tourists are expected to flock to Jeju Island for the holiday weekend, which begins on April 30th. COVID-19 prevention measures are being strengthened.

30,000 hand sanitizers are being provided free of charge by the local government to tourists visiting accommodations and attractions during this period.

A task force will visit a variety of locations such as movie theaters and bars. They will confirm hygiene and disease prevention policies are being followed, ensure quarantine supplies are being provided, and issue administrative orders to violators.

The province is urging tourists visiting the island to comply with prevention policies such as wearing masks, washing hands, and keeping distance from others.
