Business Survey Index 3 points below March’s 14-year low

Companies are experiencing the worst economic slump since the start of the COVID-19 crisis.

According to a survey conducted by the Bank of Korea, the BSI, or business survey index for Jeju, stands at 27. This is a decrease in 3 points from March, when it hit a 14-year low.

By industry, manufacturing rose 5 points compared to the previous month, while non-manufacturing fell by 3 points.

With regards to the type of management difficulties businesses cited, sluggish domestic demand was the highest at 24.4%, followed by uncertain economic conditions at 20.9%, and lack of capital at 12.4%.

업체들이 꼽은 경영 애로사항은
내수부진이 24.4%로 가장 높았고,
불확실한 경제상황 20.9%, 자금부족 12.4%를 차지했습니다.
